Mt. Tabor Park is a 197-acre volcanic park space located in the heart of Southeast Portland, Oregon. (Yes, it's a dormant volcano!)
This public park offers a visitor center (in main parking lot), public restrooms, two tennis courts, four reservoirs, two picnic areas, an amphitheater, a playground, horseshoe pits in Picnic Areas A and B (B.Y.O.H.), basketball court (made from recycled athletic shoes), drinking fountains, miles of trails, off-leash dog area (on south side near Warner Pacific College), beautiful views of downtown Portland (west), Mt. Hood (east), and Mt. St. Helens (northeast), several lengthy staircases (perfect for workouts), varied plant life includes over 50 species of trees and many species of rhododendrons.
