Krista and I love bluebirds, so great name, and she used to be a volunteer supporting their recovery. Do you have many nesting on site? Seems like perfect habitat for them--and for us! :)

9 years agoHi Rick! Neil and I have put up bluebird boxes everywhere that we've lived (with the exception of FL-not a bluebird habitat). We have just under 6 acres here at Bluebird Hill Farm and have built and put out 8 boxes. We've had several families raised on the property each summer. I had one peaking in my kitchen window at me just today. :) Hope that you & Krista will come to visit us sometime!

9 years agoThat's wonderful, Sue. Krista worked with the Prescott Bluebird Recovery project, and I used to love doing the route with her through beautiful wine country in the Willamette Valley...especially when there were nests full of adorable chicks. Those critters eat a ton of insects, too, so good call for your vineyard. :)
